Stonebridge is pleased to announce that Darrell Salter has been appointed Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). As CCO, Darrell will be responsible for managing all regulatory compliance issues within the firm in addition to his current responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer overseeing corporate operations, Human Resources, Corporate and Fund accounting, IT, and cash management.

Darrell graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours B.A. and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a M.B.A degree from the University of Windsor. Darrell is also a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and a fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Darrell is part of an existing team of financial professionals at Stonebridge dedicated to providing high quality and trusted financial services to our clients.

Stonebridge Triathlon/Duathlon Relay 2017

Stonebridge competed in its second duathlon/triathlon relay event last Saturday, September 9th at the Multi Sport Lakeside Triathlon race in Lakeside, Ontario. Diego and Angela participated in the triathlon-relay race finishing 2nd overall. The rest of the team (Fred, Darrell, Alex and Cam) participated in the duathlon-relay race with one podium finish. All three teams posted some impressive personal and team results. Amazing effort! Congrats to all three teams!!!!!

Denis Bourassa Co-CEO, Jim Cahill, President and Omer Malik, Vice President Project Finance – Infrastructure will be attending the 12th  annual Canadian Infrastructure Finance Forum held in Whistler, British Columbia on July 13th-14th. In addition, Jim Cahill will be moderating the session – ‘Re-examining the capital structure in PPPs: Debating the pros and cons of increased equity versus increased debt in financing projects’ taking place at 3:45pm on July 13th.

Stonebridge Summer Party

Stonebridge staff gathered for our annual Summer Party at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club for a day of golf croquet. With the Stonebridge Classic Cup once again up for grabs the competition was intense, with tight games and dramatic finishes. After an inspiring display of croquet mastery the Cup was presented to one of our company founders, Denis Bourassa along with Saad Inam and Ivan Konczynski for their strong second and third place finishes. Afterward the celebration continued at Francobollo on Avenue Road with staff sharing their memorable moments of the event while enjoying cocktails and a delicious 4 course dinner served up by head chef Carlos Carballo and his staff.

                                     

 

Softball Game (Stonebridge vs. Scotiabank)

Stonebridge hosted the second in a series of client friendly softball games last Wednesday with a loss to Scotiabank (13-10). It was a fun event with lots of hits and runs, making the game exciting and very close till the end.

The post-game analysis was held at a nearby patio where both teams discussed their on-field play and off field pains.

Stonebridge hosted the first in a series of client friendly softball games last Thursday with a loss to the Canada Life Private Placement group. A fun event with lots of laughs and memorable moments. The post-game analysis was held at a nearby patio where both teams discussed their on-field play and off field pains.

Stonebridge Triathlon Relay 2017

Stonebridge competed in its first triathlon relay event last Saturday June 17th at the Subaru Triathlon in Guelph, Ontario. The race consisted of a 1.5km swim, 40km cycling and a 10km run. 3 Stonebridge teams participated in the event; team 1 included Frank Bourassa and Alexandra Andronic and Jim Cahill, team 2 included Fred Bourassa and Diego Carballo and the third team included Angela Valdes and Cam Di Giorgio. All three teams posted some impressive personal and team results, including a podium finish! Amazing effort! Congrats to all three teams!!!!!

The seminar brings together municipal decision makers and public servants from across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area to discuss procurement and financing strategies at the municipal level. The panel, moderated by Transit Alliance Chairman Brian Crombie, is comprised of key industry players including Omer Malik, Vice President- Infrastructure at Stonebridge Financial Corporation.

 The Transit Alliance is a non-political organization for those who work in the transit and infrastructure industry, students, or those interested in transit and transit planning in cities across Southern Ontario. The Transit Alliance mission is to connect those within the transit industry in Southern Ontario, to share knowledge, ideas, and information and work to educate the public about the successes within the transit industry – both in operations and infrastructure.
